A True Irish Beauty
You are about to get a sneak peek at an
extraordinary golf community that appears destined to leave
golfers and golf writers grasping for superlatives--Doonbeg Golf
Club in County Clare, Ireland.

Golfers are treated to idyllic views of the Skivileen River
and the Atlantic Ocean.
Even the course designer Greg Norman has
found it hard to express his enthusiasm for the area:" .... It's
Ireland. It's Irish golf. It's links golf. Sand dunes like
you'll never see again, working hand in glove with the
environmentalists," he says with obvious passion. "I tell
everybody about this course. I tell them that I have got the
best site in the world and it's at Doonbeg in Ireland."
Doonbeg is links play at its best,
featuring a single loop of nine holes out and nine back. The
par-72 course plays along 1.5 miles of beach and dunes with the
ocean visible from the green, fairway, or tee of 16 of the 18
holes.
Playing 6,885 yards from the back tees, the
course has provides plenty of opportunity to hone your game
before setting out with a practice area and driving range, plus
a temporary clubhouse and Pro Shop.

An elevated green overlooks the Atlantic.
The beauty of the area will captivate you
as you drive through the countryside glistening with
rolling fields and farm houses. While you're still miles away
from the club's private courtyard, you can catch glimpses of the
massive dunes and emerald fairways interwoven with stretches of
tall marram grass.
One of the chief aims of the Doonbeg's
designers is to have the club serve as a "home away from home."
Visitors stay in either ocean or links-side suites, have access
to the spectacular Lodge and Member Clubhouse, then can tour the
country or visit the famous neighboring links courses,
Ballybunion and Lahinch.

Rending of the sumptuous Lodge at Doonbeg Golf Club.
"We are intent on making the architecture
of The Lodge at Doonbeg Golf Club memorable," says Leonard L.
Long, Jr. of Kiawah Development Partners and one of partners at
Doonbeg.
"The interiors will be inviting and feature
gas fireplaces, custom millwork and classic mantel pieces. And
reclaimed oak and pine hardwood flooring, stone floors, and
reclaimed antique wooden beams will give the club a warm,
comfortable and timeless feeling. We want to set a new standard
for luxury accommodations in Ireland."
Member Clubhouse and Lodge
Currently, there is a temporary clubhouse, but in Spring
2006 an elegant Member Clubhouse will open with private dining,
locker rooms, members' billiards room and pub, along with suites
with 1, 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms. Additional amenities include spa
with steam room, sauna, whirlpool, rainshowers, fitness room.
Nearby Cottages are also planned.
The Doonbeg Golf Club amenities will be
nestled beside the first and eighteenth holes, between the
Skivileen River and the Atlantic Ocean.

The rugged links landscape will provide plenty of challenge.
The largest structure at Doonbeg will be
The Lodge which features includes 15 suites. This dramatic
building affords sweeping views of the 1st and 18th holes and
the Atlantic Ocean.
Two adjoining buildings, housing the six
Garden House Suites and seven Norman Suites, help enclose a
flower-filled courtyard. The Suites in these grand buildings
will offer vistas of the gardens, some stretching to the
Skivileen River.

The famous Irish heather lies in wait for wayward shots.
Service, Service, Service
Executives at Doonbeg stress that their "focus is on service
and attention to minute details." For example, the member
services team will manage member travel arrangements, arranges
tee times at Doonbeg and area courses, and tailors post-golf
activities and arrange limousine or helicopter transportation
for your day's excursion.

The concierge staff will arrange for helicopter
transportation for area outings.
The club's professional staff will oversee
every detail of your Suite, year-round, on your behalf,
facilitating rentals, maintenance and repairs. The owner is
provided monthly reports with net income split 40 percent to the
Club and 60 percent to the owner.
And true to the club's desire for luxury
services, additional luxury touches include morning newspapers
and weather forecasts delivered to each Suite daily on request
and shoe polishing each evening.

Explore the magic of Ireland.
